Heli-No

We headed to Jackson Hole last weekend to do some Heli-skiing. It had been snowing like crazy, so we were anticipating some great powder days. It was still snowing the afternoon we pulled into Jackson and pretty much didn't stop until after we had left...

There was sooo much snow! Every morning we woke up to snow like this, I really don't remember the last time I was in this much snow. It was fun to be in a winter wonderland. The down side to all this heavenly white stuff is that it wouldn't ever stop snowing long enough for the helicopter to fly. A bummer, but we made due and skiied 15 inches at the Village instead. It was a mighty fine back up plan!

The upside to skiing the Village is that you can ditch out a run or two early and go to the spa! I was a little discouraged by the amount of huffing and puffing that was happening on the slopes. Deep snow definitely requires more muscle and energy, I had to keep reminding myself that it was ok, "You're with child, your body is putting a lot of energy elsewhere too..."

Yes, that was an announcement...this is me and babe at 13.5 weeks! Our kiddo has already been powder skiing! How sweet is that!

We had a great trip. The snow, restaurants and company was second to none! Here's to sunshine and deep snow in 2009!

I wish I had one incredible word to describe how insanely excited, thrilled and immensely happy I am about this. I am referring to the babe, not the snow, although I'm glad you had a fabulous trip. Congrats a million times over!

AHHHHHHHH!!! YAY!!! YIPEE!!! I can't even type an expression that will express my excitement for you!! I am so happy for you guys! I have so many questions... How have you been feeling, are you going to find out the gender, When are you due?! At the rate I am going maybe we will have our babies at the same time!! :) I guess little baby Hunt will be a SoCal baby right? WOW!! So elated to hear the good news! You made my day! Yay for babies!

Hope you are doing well and by the way you look amazing for 13.5 weeks. I think I had already put on about 15+ pounds (I put it all on in the beginning really fast! Hard to watch the scale but necessary I guess).

You need to make a post with all the details I am dying to know everything! CONGRATS!!

P.S. I just can't stop talking... but I just remembered that when I was about 14/15 weeks along we went on a camping trip and hiked. I huffed and puffed like crazy and could barely make it up the darn mountain (hills really). It is amazing how much building a baby takes out of a gal! Don't feel too bad about not being quite up to par... you're making a human being!! CRAZY!!
Good luck with everything!!

We are excited for you guys to move out here, you are going to love it, Zach and I spent Friday, Saturday and today at the beach, its been around 75 degrees!

Hey girl,
I linked to your blog from Hillary's... and find out you're going to be a mommy! Wahoo! How are you feeling? Still skiing... that's a great sign. Your babe is going to be an adventurer for sure. Sadly I've yet to get out and enjoy the powder this winter (my little guy is 5 weeks old). Yay for the babies of 2008! You and Wade are going to be such fun parents. Congrats.
Love,
Sally (Rector) Emett
