Tessa with her daddy at 4 months.
By the numbers:
13 lbs. 1 oz. - 40th percentile
23 1/4 inches - 20th percentile
So she's petite AND smart. I believe Dr. Patel's exact words were, "Oh, look at that control, she's behaving as though she were a 6 month old." (Imagine this all in an East Indian accent, it reads much better.) "30 years experience, I have not been wrong yet. Yes, she is beyond her peers." Ahhh, music to her parents ears. Way to go Tessie!
It amazes me how fast she grows and how quickly time goes by. Four months this week. It seems just the other day I was on my couch crying because I was convinced I was going to be pregnant for the rest of my life. Gratefully, that was just my 9 month breaking point. A little miracle arrived just days later and now look, a rolley, polley, smiley baby girl. She is babbling away now, she'll wake in the morning and have a little chat with herself for awhile before deciding she wants to get up for the day. Wade and I just lay in bed and smile listening to that sweet sound. When I go into get her, she gives me a big smile, she smiles lots now and tells us stories all throughout the day. She has found her hands and loves to see how much of them she can fit in her mouth. She loves to cover herself with her blankies and has started to find wonder and curiousity in her toys. Now and then we'll hear a little giggle...perhaps the best sound of all. Sweet baby Tess, she's our magic.

it's a darn good thing I'm going to hold her in 25 hours or else I'd have to stage a coup. I'm in desperate need of a tess fix! maybe i'll trade you a baby on the plane!
Of all the tiny little people I've seen, she's one of the cutest. She comes from good genes, let me just tell ya.
Oh my, she is a LITTLE peanut!! (I guess compared to what I am used to... 90th percentile accross the board) -- I wish I could hold that little gal... Maybe I will get a chance. We are headed to UT tomorrow morning and mybe we will run into you sometime (hopefully)... I would LOVE to meet Tess!! Our doc is East Indian also... I love the way she talks!! Such an interesting accent. Happy Christmas and we hope to see you guys!

love it. Love the post. Love it all! I enjoy those moments soo much, too. My girls also are petite so I can just imagine, Tessa's sweetness. Thanks for sharing!
She's so beautiful. Enjoy every minute. They do grow much too fast. Brinley is turning two next month, and already starting the hilarious little fits where she stomps her feet, falls to the ground and kicks her legs while screaming out of control. We all find it quite amusing. Tess will be there before you know it.
