To the Snow!

Mommy and I went to McCall last week. It was great. The snow was really something. It's white, fluffy and there's loads of it. I liked to check it out through this big window in the morning.

And then I liked to go out and play in it. Taste it, walk around in it (a little bit), but mostly go for sleigh rides in it. All bundled up going for a ride through the forest.

Loads of snow, see? It's as high as me!

"Bampa" took me for rides everyday. We had lots of fun together, sometimes we sang songs, we looked at the big trees and lots of white snow. One time I was lulled right to sleep!!

Then I went to the store and "Bampa" got me a donut and basically I loved it. This Bampa is a good guy.

One day I went for a walk with mama. I tried my hand at pulling the sleigh instead of riding in it. It was so, so. I prefer the ride.

Then there were two days when Mama went skiing. Cat skiing that is. I guess they take you up into the back country in this big 'ole snowcat and then you try and find fresh powder to ski down. She says it's great. I'm sure it is, I'll give it a go in a few years. Until then I'll hang out with Gram at the cabin. And let me tell you, that's not a bad alternative, I love my Grammy. She played with me all day, took me to the Winter Carnival Parade, took me on sleigh rides, we took great naps. Just trust me, it was great.

This is all the skiers in the Cat. Don't they look like a fun bunch?

Another night, all the adults snowshoed into the Blue Moon Yurt for dinner. I got to stay with Grammy again, and again it was great. Mama said it was fun and that the food was delicious. I'll try that someday too I suppose.

It was a great trip. My Gram and Bampa are so nice to me and my mommy and daddy. Hopefully we'll get to do this lots more and hopefully daddy will be able to come with us next time!
