Last weekend we had dinner group up in LA. We decided to make a day of it and head to the Huntington Library and Gardens in Pasadena. We had been wanting to check it for a while and we figured now was as good as time as any. It would be an opportunity to get the little invalid out for some fresh air and a push around in the stroller.
It was blazing hot, but well worth the visit. You forgot you were in the middle of Los Angeles for a few hours. I think my favorite were the jungle gardens, Wade's were the Japanese. Tessa loved the children's garden. It just made me sad watching her in there, not being able to play in the water, she was a good little sport though and thought it was cool just the same.
After we finished at the Gardens we headed to Beverly Hills to meet up with our dinner group. It shaped up to be a beautiful afternoon and a few hours in the park with great friends, food and bocci ball made for the perfect wrap up to the day.

we have friends that frequent the huntington gardens all the time. they look amazing, how fun to be close to such a beautiful escape! little tess can go back and play in a few weeks when she's free to roam!
Great get-away. The gardens are beautiful. Put that on my list of things I'm going to do when I visit you. :) Looks like a fun group of friends.
Loved that day. It was such a great evening. Thinking we will be making our way to the gardens soon too.
