LA-cation

Towards the end of August, our good friends Aaron and Kristen asked if we'd be interested in a weekend in LA, watching their dogs Bella and Bear and staying at their place while they were out of town. We jumped at the chance. We knew T would be in heaven with two dogs to play with at all times and Wade and I were looking forward to exploring LA and doing some things we'd always talked about doing but never seemed to make it up to the big city to do.

Well we were right about Tessa being in heaven. She followed Bella around like she was the puppy dog. I wish I had a photo of her holding Bella's leash like a purse walking her, it was so funny. I had brought up a few toys for her but we never even needed to pull them out she was so happy to play with the dogs. I missed Chloe all over again and my heart broke once more that T didn't have a big sister at home.

We went pretty much every direction we could go in LA. Manattan Beach, Pasadena, Griffith Park, Celebrity Home tour in Beverly Hills and Bel-Air. Yes, we really did that and it was super fun. Santa Monica and Hollywood. We had a great time exploring the city, there is so much to do there. I have a list of things to do next time we go back.

MANHATTAN BEACH

Do you think this girl loves her daddy?

Oh a mini cupcake...

HOLLYWOOD, BEVERLY HILLS AND BEYOND

Pinks, a Hollywood legend. I actually ate some of that. Pregnancy does weird things to you...

GRIFFITH PARK

This carousel made my whole weekend. Can you see the charm and originality and 1920's of it all? I could almost see the boater hats, seersucker and eyelet sundresses merrily going around. An original organ played by puppets played the music, it was so lovely. As we were walking out, Tessa waved to the puppets and said, "Goodbye children". Hysterical.

It was a great little family getaway. We loved it.

That looks amazing. The carousel, the fun touristy stuff, and that pictures of T and her daddy is just so precious. What a great weekend! And you look darling, of course!

So....I am embarrassed to admit this. I just got caught up on all your posts. I have been a bit preoccupied, if you will. It turns out you got knocked up while I was away. This is fantastic! You guys make great ones. So so happy for you. I guess that means I should start following suit since I like to copy you.

This comment will be so much funnier if you read it in an accent. Any accent.
