Christmas Season Snapshots

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Having a child in the home brings the magic back to Christmas, even more so when they start to 'get it'. Tessa knows who Santa is, that he says ho, ho, ho, that he is coming in a few days. She knows who Baby Jesus is, that it's his birthday on Christmas, that his mommy is Mary and his daddy is Joseph and that Three Kings brought him some presents. She knows she wants a kitchen, she asks multiple times a day to put something on her Christmas list, "I ask for Christmas." Don't ask me what I'm going to say at the store after the holiday is over and I can't say, "Well, maybe you can put it on your Christmas list." She LOVES Christmas songs, especially Santa Baby, requests them at nap and bedtime, can sing "Better Watch Out" verbatim (the lyrics don't seem to have much impact...but she sings them none the less) and is pretty good with Jingle Bells and Up on the Housetop. Wade and I anticipate a great morning come Saturday.

Some festivities that got us all in to the spirit:

We went to see the tree lighting and Santa at Crystal Cove State Beach. Santa likes the beach as much as the snow you know.

Wrote a letter to Santa. We are hoping she delivers on her promise...

Played in boxes that gifts were shipped in. Sorry folks, apparently you could have just sent a big box full of peanuts.

Made another Santa visit with the Santa Claus from South Coast Plaza who happens to live just down the street and does a special Santa night for the neighborhood. Tessa's good friends Fletcher and Asher were there too.

Sported a new Christmas dress from Grammy. You could equate this pretty little number to true love.

Wade took Tessie to a Fancy Nancy Party at Neimen Marcus. If there was a contest for best daddy in the world, I could tell you who would get my vote! More to come on this...it deserves a post all it's own.

Wishing you and yours a very Merry Christmas on Saturday!
