A few weeks ago we joined Gram and Grandpa and Aunt Amberly and cousins for a snowy week in McCall. T. Jane was a bit of a monster to her cousins, pushing buttons and bodies, but that aside we had a great time. T skied for the first time, she had a great time playing in the snow, we hit the tubing hill, Bode got held non-stop and I was treated to a 90 minute dream come true, known by most as a massage.
If you have ever seen T. Jane, you will know she's miniature. So miniature in fact that they don't even make ski boots small enough for her. But like any true skier, we didn't let a little boot problem stop us! We put on two pair of socks and made do. She was awesome. She didn't learn much as I was doing most of the work, I think she had very little control of her ski's with her feet sloshing around in her boots, but she had a great time. She, "whheeee"'d all the way down the hills, "I'm going fast!!" and my favorite mid-way down the hill, "AHHHH, mom! Stop! My treat fell out!" I just wanted a positive experience and association so she'd want to do it again, I think we were successful.
Tubing...a storm was blowing in, poor girl was freezing. I was too.
We sent the kids out to the front yard to play in the snow on Wednesday. Why we didn't come up with that genius idea on Monday I'll never know. They had the BEST time. It was so cute to watch them. One afternoon they found a snow hill and climbed up and slid down it over and over. Well, Coop, Senny and Bex did. Tessa managed a few trips less but hung right in there trying so hard to keep up with them. A silly afternoon noon in the snow turned into a proud moment for me and what I interprut to be a defining charcter trait in Tessa. She fought and fought to climb up that hill, digging in her little boots and little hands while her cousins did laps all around her. She didn't get frustrated, she didn't ask for help, she just kept at it. I was proud. She has some fight in her, sometimes it exhibits itself in less than desireable ways, but that afternoon in the snow it shined through in it's best form. If applied in the right context, it will be a trait that will serve her well.
A pull around Lucks Point with Grandpa on the tobbagan.
These dresses were my sister's and mine when we were Tess and Senny's age. How cute is this? It's hard to imagine me that size or age. I loved that we got them in them together at the right time.
This little bubs got held the whole week long. All he had to do was make a peep. He hung with Gram while the rest of us went skiing and chilled out on Grandpa's shoulder the rest of the time. You want to kiss him don't you?
Playing house. Mommy, Daddy and Baby. Hysterical. He acutally liked cruising around in here.
We missed dad, especially on the ski hill. I feel so lucky to have a such an amazing place to take my kids too in both winter and summer to spend time with their grandparents and cousins. Talk about a dream come true.

Look at that cute little skier! Sounds like a great trip.
the kids are adorable! miss them.
What a fun vacation to get together with all the cousins! It is probably good for Tessa to work her way into the Robinson whirl wind. Bode is getting so big! He looks darling! A. Debi
Way fun vacation! So glad you got to go!
Looks like a great vacation. So nice to have a place to get together. Huge bonus that it's beautiful and so close to skiing! Gotta love Tessa's toughness, and your Little Bode is so cute!
