We had a great Easter weekend. Busy, but good. We managed to get photo's of nearly everything EXCEPT the ones that really count, like the kids in their Easter garb. Lame. They looked cute too. And so did Wade and I. And no we didn't get photo's of him and I either, double lame.
We began by celebrating Earth Day on Friday. The poor Earth was nearly forgotten in all the Easter hub bub. We went to Anthropologie with Jake the Snake to paint bags and plant flowers inside them. Mom forgot about them for a couple of days, surely their dead. Poor Tessa keeps looking for the flowers to grow everyday. I'm afraid she's going to be looking for a very long time.
And if you think we can visit The Spectrum without making a trip 'round the Carousel, than you are dead wrong.
Saturday started with an 11 mile run for mom, a 2 hour bike ride for dad, and a Ward Easter Egg hunt (that we nearly missed! Thank goodness for Annalee and her charity eggs)
It ended with a trip to the mall to find Bode an Easter shirt, complete with Tessa falling in to the center court fountain. Seriously. Wade and I could not stop laughing. She was mortified and cold and told everyone on her way out, "I got all wet!!!" (a true pity I can't get the blasted photo to upload) We also dyed Easter eggs and Tessa and Bode took thier first bath together. Cute kids we make.
Sunday was great too. We enjoyed brunch at the Hemeons, Church at well, church and dinner at the Rogers. It was a great weekend.
We were reminded all to clearly Sunday morning of the miracle of Easter when we learned of the death of some friends daughter. She was traveling back to California to spend the holiday with her family when she and brother were involved in a tragic accident. No one should have to bury their child and no one should have to go so tragically. The mortal experience is mortal however, and the sacrifice and miracle of our Savior makes such tragedy liveable. Not always bearable perhaps, but liveable. And more importantly hopeful, that we know unwittitingly that we can be with them again. Thank goodness for our knowledge of that beautiful fact.

I'm so sorry about the accident--any loss is heartbreaking. It certainly puts our current situation in a whole new light.
*I LOVE the bath picture.
Laughed right out loud thinking of tiny tess falling in the fountain!
Glad you had a happy easter! Your thoughts on the true meaning of Easter are so right on, and so sweet.
Into the fountain? Dying, I would have been dying! That is so something Banks would do. Only he would be happy about it until I pulled him out!
That pic of your kiddos in the tub is adorable!! Love it.
