This past week…

Buster turned 33. We surprised him in the gift department. Usually, I’ll surprise him and he doesn’t like it, or I’ll get him something specific he’s told me he wants so he likes it, but he’s not surprised. This year I dare say I achieved both.  On Wednesday he had an Elder’s Quorum Party. Bummer deal for him. So Tessa, Bode and I went to Costco, T picked out a soccer ball cake and we took it to the EQ party and crashed it, made them all sing him Happy Birthday and then let them have some cake. He’s the best dad and hubs, we are lucky to have him.

The Bubster is now crawling!! WAHOO!! We are very excited about this. Tessa never crawled, so this is a new adventure in parenting. I dislike that he will be dirty a lot, but I like that he is on the move, and so does he. We also went into his room a few times this week to get him when he woke and he was standing up, looking out over his crib with a big ole smile on his face thinking he was so big. Too big for mama. Slow down Bode Banks. He also thinks he is big because of his two front teeth. I am in love with these two little toothies. It makes his huge, happy smile even better. Who knew that was even  possible. (He also prays. With his eyes open.)

At lunch the other day, he thought I was so funny. Tell me those teeth aren’t the most hysterical thing you’ve ever seen. It is insane how much I love this bubba cakes.

And I thought dressing a boy was going to be a drag. Not so. Bode was looking dapper at church today.

Tessa had her preschool Halloween party. She couldn’t have been more excited to wear her mermaid costume to school, especially since Kate was dressing up as a mermaid too. They sang us a few silly songs, told us it was the month of October, and then we ate some lunch. She was thrilled to see her daddy there. And thrilled of course to perform. All she needs is a stage. And an audience.

Friday night, Wade and I went to a wig party. Hysterical I tell you.
