The Holiday season is slipping by too quickly. The house is decorated and the shopping is done. Tessa can sufficiently identify Mary, Joseph, Baby Jesus, shepards and Wise Men. In fact today she said, “Ok, I am going to be Mary and Bode you are my Baby Jesus.” She can sing Rudolf, Jingle Bells, finds a new branch for her ballerina ornament 6 times a day and ignores the rule about touching Jazzie, our elf on the shelf. Bode tries to eat Baby Jesus about 3 times a day, exclaims, “Oooooo” every time he see’s Christmas lights (I show them to him nearly every night because it NEVER gets old) and has been surprisingly good about not eating pine needles. It’s all too fleeting.
Last weekend Wade took Tessa to “Snow White’s Christmas” up in LA. She of course was beside herself with excitement to go see the “show.” She would be able to wear the Christmas dress that she’s been staring at for weeks in her closet, see princesses and spend the day with just her dad.
Our poor little Bubs has been REALLY under the weather the past few days. He had a fever that made me all sorts of nervous, was up all night for a few nights and was just not his happy self. Today we had a turn around and began to catch a glimpse of our happy, smiley, busy Bode. Like this….
Changing Bode’s diaper is like trying to wrestle a muddy pig. 9 times out of 10, I get the diaper off and he’s flipped himself over and is on the move with in 1.35 seconds. He also climbs into cupboards and unrolls entire rolls of paper towels. And here’s the thing, I don’t even care because he is so freaking cute.
Yesterday, T had her Winter Showcase at dance. She performed, “l am a Pizza” like she’s been doing it for years.
And before I forget….I picked her up from school the other day and asked her how school was today. “Well Mom, the kids laugh at me at school.” I think I felt my heart break in two. What?! She’s 3! This can’t start in preschool! So through my bleeding heart I ask, “Why buggy? How come they laugh at you?” To which she anwsers, “Because mom, I am SOOO funny.”
Ahhh, I see. And confident. She IS funny. Dang funny.

Hysterical. I love that she is the funny one and she is confident and proud...totally made me smile thinking how she must have felt when she realized they thought she was funny.
oh my gosh seriously can not wait to kiss that little boy all week long!
K, those kids are so blasted cute!
Yeah, I don't know how you're ever going to get mad at those kids for doing anything. They're way too cute to get mad at.
I know I am the worst at commenting, but can I just tell you how much I adore your darling family!! They are so stinking cute! I hope your Christmas continues to be magical. Loves from the Hansen fam.
