It came. It went.

January that is. We did do other things besides have a birthday party. We even learned a few new things about ourselves.

For example:

We learned Tessa is a walking fashion statement. Well, we already knew this actually, but some days it still amazes us. Whether at home, the grocery store, pulling your little brother on his fire truck…always an opportunity for a wardrobe change.

We learned Bode prefers naked to clothes. And that he can empty a  cupboard, paint his face, empty a dishwasher or make a mess faster than you can say, “Bode Banks!”

We learned Tessa is a contortionist.

We were reminded that come January, So Cal is the place to be.

We learned that anytime Gram and Grandpa come to town is a good time. They take us to restaurants where the waiters take your kids back to the kitchen to help make their own sundae! We also learned we are super lame and didn’t get any pictures of them and the kids together while they were here!

We learned Bode can still sleep in the car, new upright car seat and all.

We learned the flu is a lousy, lousy thing. Especially when it goes through the whole family. T threw up for the first time in her life, and it was every bit as terrible as I imagined it might be. We also learned that we probably get the flu by sucking on the bench at our sister’s dance studio.

Can’t wait to see what February brings!
