I picked up Tessa from preschool a few weeks ago and couldn’t find her anywhere! But his little leprechaun tried hopping into my car!
The next day, I had to get creative and find ways to stay out of our house for 8 hours. Not as easy as it might sound! We had a slab leak in our garage, apparently the third or fourth one at this house. The home owners decided to do a complete overhaul on the plumbing system. Essentially piping an epoxy coating throughout the entire house, through every pipe to eliminate such leaks for the next 75 years. Slab leaks are super common in this area, all these track communities in OC were built super fast and with sub-par materials that are now 30 years later beginning to degenerate. It was quite the undertaking.
On Friday I put the kiddos in the car and cruised up to Long Beach to hit the Aquarium of the Pacific. Last time I went was a couple of years a go and I was just impressed this time. We went at the kids pace, lingered at every aquarium, checked out every fish. I had a great time with my kids. It was a fun day to be their mom.
Can you see Bode totally leaning away from the glass? This sea lion swam right up to him and looked him right in the eye, made him nervous nelly! He thought he was Mr. Cool pushing the stroller around.
Wade came home and we cruised around the neighborhood until we could go back into our house.
We had no hot water for 48 hours. Modern amenities are true blessing.

What a fun mom you are! I hope there are no more unexpected water works for you!
Boogs here: Bummer the leak happened in the garage, the place with the most important stuff. Doesnt it make you nervous you live in an earthquake friendly area and your home's built with sub-par materials?
