A co-worker of Wade’s lives at the Burj Khalifa and offered to take us to the top one Saturday afternoon. By some miracle the dust settled and we got some great views. Do not assume this is what your average day in Dubai looks like, the dust haze usually greatly inhibits such views.
154 floors and 880 meters up in the sky. My ears popped in the elevator. For now she’s the highest tower in any skyline, but word on the street is Saudi is on her heels with plans for sky scraper in Jeddah.

I can't believe your life right now. Coming back to the states is going to be very anti-climactic. Good thing your family is here so we can hope to see your again.
