This handsome little devil turned two in Turkey.
We celebrated on the Bhosphorus River, underneath the Istanbul lights and the evening call to prayer. Bode’s birthday dinner consisted of olives, cigarette shrimp, apple tea and a fish with the eyes still attached. His dessert, sugared dates, a candle and a 4 man band singing ‘Happy Birthday’ in Turkish.
We’re not going to be able to up the ante every year pal.
Here’s to a great birthday memory.
When we returned home, Bubs opened up some presents and had a proper birthday dessert.
If you need to find this big two year old boy, I recommend you look around for a little green fin a top a green ‘cycle’. And I would caution you against trying to take said bike away, or even suggest he find another activity, as the little monster perched upon his head will growl.
I don’t know that the proper vocabulary exists Bubs to tell you how much we love you. Happy Birthday.

What an amazing second birthday. Very very few little boys get to celebrate like that, little Bode. He is such a beautiful little guy. And those pictures of him in just a diaper, on his bike sporting that awesome helmet are absolutely priceless. Happy Birthday little man!
he is so stinking darling. and he seems to be handling his current lifestyle rather well. you're the perfect mama for the little Bodster!
OK, was that a tray of food with a cooked rat and fish? I would love to visit Turkey but not eat there! Love the bike helmet and the cutie wearing it.
