T turns 5

How our Tessa Jane is already 5 years old, I shall never know. What I do know, is that I think she is the coolest 5 year old around and I feel lucky to have been called her mom since 2008. It was fun to be in the States and to celebrate her birthday with cousins. We were in Park City the weekend prior to her birthday on the 13th, before heading up the canyon, she picked out her custom cake (yikes) and then we had a little pinata and party of sorts with her cousins one night.

Good thing we had Carter, otherwise we may have never seen that candy.

We celebrated the true day of her birth at Disneyland. We found her a badge at the beginning of the day as you do at Disneyland, so every Disney employee could day either, “Happy Birthday Princess” or “Happy Birthday Tessa” all day long. My favorite line of the day?

“Mom, everyone knows my name, because I’ve been here before. They remember me.”

Well of course they do T. You’re unforgettable.

Scene 1 happened, and next thing you know… It was her birthday. And we were feeling indulgent. She won’t be 5 years old nearly long enough to deny her such a pleasure. Happy 5th Tessa Jane.
