Christmas 2013

Christmas Eve was spent at our home with friends, food, and some jolly good traditions.

We added gingerbread decorating at the last minute after my neighbor clued my in as to where we could buy them. The ratio of candy on the house to candy in the mouth was about 1:10.

This year was the first since the candy sled induction into Christmas Eve 4 years ago, that a Hunt child did not win. Maybe because the master sled maker (i.e. cheater) did not make the sleds this go around.

The previous two months had left me so exhausted I could barely think straight. But a few snapshots from this sweet and slow morning was a good reminder that this is a good life I live. I have much to be grateful for.

Seneca’s note to Tessa…attached to her princess dress was a 2013 Christmas highlight.

After awhile we mustered up the gumption to get dressed and head to Christmas brunch at the Kempinski. The food was great, the poppers brilliant entertainment and the Santa, British. We followed brunch with the new Disney movie ‘Frozen’. It was a perfect day and a tradition we’d like to cement in time.

I love this holiday family of mine.
