Take Me Out to the Ballgame

While living in St. Louis we became fans of Major League Baseball. People in the Lou live and breathe Cardinal baseball and if you wanted to have a conversation with any local you needed to be versed on either the weather, what high schools were what or the Cards. Going to a game, being outside, cheering on the local team always made for a fun night out, but after we had the chance to attend the final World Series Game and watch the Cardinals take the victory, we were sold! Baseball was in our blood!

We had the chance to cheer on the Cardinals one more time right before we left St. Louis with our friends Brian & Heidi Collet.

The first week we were here in California the hospital gave us tickets to the Angels game, this will be our new team to cheer for!

This past weekend we drove down to San Diego for the day to celebrate our 5th anniversary, it was my year to plan...so I surprised Wade with tickets to the Padre's game. We had a great time!

Is there anything really more quintessentially American than spending a summer's evening at the ballpark? It's the best, especially when there's fireworks!

I understand the whole baseball thing. Out here it is Yankees Redsox or you are a moron. Kyle chose the Sox because he likes Boston. I love NYC but I didn't want to jump on the Yankees bandwagon so I chose the Mets! LETS GO METS!!! Aren't live sporting events the best!? You're right something all American about them.
Hope to talk to you soon.
Love, Hillary
