Hunt Family Getaway

A few weekends ago we made our way to St. George to meet the rest of the Hunts for a fun filled weekend. There was lots of time with cousins, treasure hunts, playing in the sunshine and the pool and even a triathlon. Tessa had a boatload of fun playing with Carter, Morgie, Gavin and Parker. The older kids were so, so good and patient and playful with Tessa and Parker, it was fun to watch them all together. Us adults did a fair amount of relaxing watching the kids run around and eating these cinnamon rolls from some little bakery...wow.

You can always count on an adventure of some sort with Grandma Hunt. She had a little treasure hunt set up around the condo complex. They were to put their clues in their little lunch boxes and eventually found the prizes in the tree! The loot? New swimsuits, cover-ups and bubbles! Could Tessa have been happier? No.

After naps, the slip and slide and pool came out. Wahoo!

Tessa and Gavin splashed hours away in this little yellow pool!

Then she moved to the big guns with Carter and Morgan! The slip and slide!!

On Saturday Wade and Rian did the St. George Tri. It was Rian's first and she did great. Wade said his legs never got any get up and go, but he busted it out just the same!

In the finishing chute...

Dad's cheerleader. T. Jane has been to quite a few races in her young life and she's got the cheering down. A chair, some snacks and some solid, "Go, go racers!" and "Go racer dad!"

Now and then we take a break to stretch the legs...with our swimsuits...because heaven forbid we go ANYWHERE without a swimsuit.

We celebrated good race results with some more swimming and then topped the weekend off at breakfast before everyone went their separate ways.

Parker = Hysterical

On the way home we decided to break it up and stop in Vegas for a few hours. We paid a visit to Siegfried and Roy's tigers (where a trainer told us they did not kill the tiger that swiped Roy's face nearly off and that they still rotate him in and out of the exhibits...just a little FYI...those tigers are MASSIVE and I plan to stay far from swipe distance my whole life), the dolphin enclosure, and the Bellagio water show. It was hotsy totsy. But was a great little ending to a great weekend.

Few things make my heart smile like my little munchkin resting her arm on her daddy's shoulders.
