Bode's Big Day

A few weeks ago, we blessed the little Bodester. Blessing days for my children have been amoung some of my most favorite days. They are just great, special days.  

Sorry Bubs, we must have had you looking right into the sun!

We were lucky to have a lot of family in town for the big day. The Hunts had just arrived to spend the following week in San Diego and my mom, dad and Harrie flew in to spend a short weekend prior. I planned a little brunch prior to the blessing, it was really special to have so many friends and family celebrate with us. Our friends here in So Cal have become like our family, so to have the two combined made for a sweet, happy morning.

 Three generations of Hunts.

After brunch we caravaned to the Chapel for Bode's blessing. Wade gave Bode a beautiful blessing. Courage to choose the right amoung my favorites. It sends a shiver down my spine when I look at the current state of the world and think about the difficulties my children will face as they grow older. I am grateful for a husband that was in a position to be influenced by Heavenly Father regarding the things Bode would most need to be blessed with.

 I think they look a like in this photo. Maybe it's the bald head, maybe the pensive expression, but for hearing all the time he looks like Wade, I like that for a moment in this photo he looks like a Banks.
