This and That

IMG_1519
-Tessa took this picture of Bode the other day. Not bad. Gee, he is cute.
-Tessa loves watching Dancing with the Stars with me. I love watching with her. Her commentary goes like this, “Mom, what’s  her name?” “(Gasp) She looks so beautiful!” “Mom, what’s her prince’s name?”
-So glad fall TV is back.

-If this picture doesn’t make you laugh right out loud, something is wrong with you. This was Sunday morning, I got out of the shower, Bode was napping and Tessa had made her way upstairs. Apparently, because her dad had fallen dead asleep in the middle of Memory.
-Wade and I fell in love with a certain variety of apple when we were living in St. Louis. Honeycrisp. It could also be called Heavencrisp. All of you from the Lou are nodding your heads and smiling. I kid you not, it is the most delicious apple your lips will ever meet. And not only are the delish, they are also MASSIVE. We get them here in CA but only for a few weeks every fall. Welcome fall.

-I am trying to demonstrate how big they are here. They’re seriously almost as big as my baby’s head. Bubs wants a bite.
-This is the first fall since college where I am returning to a “schedule”. School-Tues/Thurs, Dance-Monday, YW’s-Tuesday night, Musicmakers-Wed (if Bode’s awake). I like the routine and the structure it gives my weeks. Tessa seems to do better with a bit of a routine too.

-It seems to me that this face was designed for the sole purpose of kissing. He smiles non-stop and I can not even stand it.
-Pinterest is my new favorite way to waste time.

-Lately, Tessa has been wanting to help me with Bode more. This was a great moment the other day.
-I want Tessa and Bode to be Little Bo Peep and her little lost sheep for Halloween. Or Mary and her little lamb. She wants to be a mermaid. Is this one of those times where I am supposed to pick my battles?
-Being a mom is hard. Having two has kind of rocked my world. But as I fall in bed every night I am grateful, and feel blessed that I get to spend my day with these two crazies.

Yep, you do have to beautiful little kids. Bodie's big smile is just irresistible! I love the picture of Dad passed out in the middle of the memory game. Awesome.

I most definitely support Little Bo Peep and her lost sheep! Let her be a mermaid for school of something. I did that with Ivory one year and it worked like a charm. Yes, motherhood ain't for sissies! Good thing we are super-heros...at least in their eyes!

Cute pictures! How about a mermaid with her minnow? Yes, choose your battles. It would be too bad to get a cute Bo Peep costume then have her refuse to wear it and be sad or mad on Halloween. However, if there was a good bribe....
