This house has been sick for the better part of the last 3 months. It moves through the house, going from person to person, traveling through stomachs, then ears, heads and chests. We recover, finish a round of antibiotics, air out the house, enjoy a couple flu/cold/ear infection free days and then it returns. We don't welcome it, or invite it, it just comes and frankly it's starting to piss me off. Sorry mom. But it is. This past week it hit me with a vengeance. I have been down and out for a solid week. Except not down so much as out because I am the mom and there are still preschool drop offs, baths, mouths to feed, princesses to play and balls to kick. Except when the princesses weren't playing and the balls weren't being kicked because the princesses ear was verging on rupturing or she was trying to avoid the puke spoiling her dress. And sometimes the balls lied still because the boy was lying listless with 104 degree temp or he was batting away a Kleenex closing in on his nose for the 18th time. I haven't run for a week and am convinced I have another week before running won't seem an enormous effort. This all gives me panic seeing as how I have 20 miles, about 16 of which is uphill, to run as part of a relay team in just 6 short weeks. Wade has been a champ and picked up a lot of slack and said nary a word when nothing got done all day for several days in a row, sometimes feeling under the weather himself. I am over it. Come on spring, show that pretty head of yours, the Hunts are drowning in the flu and need a sign of healthy times ahead!!
Maybe some germs got spewed out during that vent! I hope so!

I'm so sorry you have all been sick for so long! Purchase new toothbrushes, disinfect the phones and toys that have had little mouths on. Get out in the sunshine. I'm sending healthy vibes and lots of love your way.
I'm fed up for you! That sounds awful to have all of you up and down, but mostly down, for so so long. I hope you all feel better soon. I'm adding my healthy vibes to your mom's!
So, SO SORRY! We did the flu in November, December, AND January! 2 times EACH! Awful with a capital A! Now we have had a month of snotty noses and coughs and I share the same feelings! The sickness can BITE ME, all of it!
That is a total nightmare! When you are ready to run I volunteer myself to watch those cuties so you can run during the day. I am dead serious. Call me when you are ready. It's the least I can do to help a team member out.
BIG Bummer. I think the worst thing is not having sick kids, its being sick yourself AND having sick children to attend to. I am so sorry. Truly. Hopefully the big gets lost...for good!
