It was fun to celebrate Tessa’s birthday in Utah with cousins and grandparents for the first time. Lucky for us, Tessa’s nearest and dearest, Kendyl, was in town and was able to come along with a few friends Tessa had made while living in Utah this summer. She’d told me for weeks that she wanted a mermaid party. The pool and Gram and Grandpa’s back yard seemed just the ticket.
Heather saved the day when it came to party décor. I was out of my party element without all my own “stuff”.
The cupcakes were a high light as was the mermaid doll and noodles in the pool.
Look at all those cute girls. I hope and pray she can find friends such as these when she arrives in a foreign land.
The day prior to her party was her actual birthday, it has been tradition in the past to have a special date with just mom and dad on your birthday. Since dad could just Skype in for birthday present opening, we opted for a girlie date of lunch and a pedicure. I love this crazy little four year old girl.

I'm afraid she will forever be three in my mind. I can not fathom four.
