We went to McCall this summer…

twice. You can do that sort of awesome thing when you’re floating homeless and husband less for months. We cruised up shortly after leaving California and arriving in Salt Lake City to spend the 4th of July. Tutz had to leave the day after we arrived because this delicious little baby decided to make an early debut. All my sisters children make an early debut, I sort of hate her for this.

I do not hate Stella though. Isn’t she scrumptious?

I love spending the 4th in McCall. The fireworks on the lake (though VERY late at night…) make it even more magical than it usually is. We spent a few quiet, lazy days before heading back to SLC, only to head back up about 2 1/2 weeks later.

The kids played great together those few days, picked up pine cones off the driveway for a nickel each, played in the water, went for bike rides, were troopers on early morning ski sessions and Bode discovered a new favorite game.

When we went back a few weeks later the rest of the family minus the Robinsons was there. Tessa missed her cousins, but Linny, Dan, Boogs and Kiri were pretty good fill ins when they weren’t puking. It was fun to spend a few days with Kiri before she became the newest member of the family.

How we escaped the illness I do not know. But I remain grateful we did.

We spent our days on the boat, skiing, wakeboarding and tubing. We played on the shore, Tessa perfected her waterski tricks and her Hawaiian Tropics tush, as well as her “hide from the paparazzi” look at dinner.

Both my kids are awesome and went jumping and swimming in that chilly water.

We also watched a lot of Olympics, donned Mosquito repellent ‘pagers’ for laps around the kitchen islands and Bode perfected his peek a boo.

It was great to be able to break up our time while we eagerly waited for our Visa’s to appear. And we had a great time. As usual.
